Starting Calendar as Iconized or Displayed

  Calendar usually starts by displaying a view of the current
  month.  By enabling the Start Iconized option in the General
  dialog box (which you can access from the Options menu),
  you can cause Calendar to start as an icon displayed in the
  icon box, without any of its windows open.

  You can also make the initial Calendar view a year or day
  rather than a month.  For information about how to change
