Editing a Recording DECsound allows you to perform editing operations on your recordings. In this lesson, you will learn about the cut-and- paste operations by editing the recording that you created in the Making and Playing a Recording tutorial topic. The steps involved in a cut-and-paste operation are as follows: 1. Choose Display Samples from the View menu to display the waveform. 2. Select part of the recording. If you do not know how to do this, click on theSelecting Part of a Recording topic in the list of additional topics. 3. Choose Cut from the Edit menu. DECsound removes the selected part of the waveform and inserts it in theclipboard. Click on the Play button to play the recording-observe that part of the recording has been removed. 4. Position the pointer where you want to insert the contents of the clipboard. 5. Choose Paste from the Edit menu. DECsound inserts the contents of the clipboard in the recording. Click on the Play button to play the recording and observe the result of the cut-and-paste operation.
