Using Drawers and Folders Drawers and folders help you organize your mail messages. You use Mail drawers and folders as you would use drawers and folders in your office file cabinet. You might file all messages on a related topic in one folder and place related folders in one drawer. You can create as many drawers and folders as you need. Drawers, folders, and messages are identified by unique icons in the main window. For example, a message is identified by an icon that looks like an envelope. The icon also indicates whether the object is open or closed. Drawers and folders can be opened to reveal their contents. To open a drawer or folder, double click on the name of the drawer or folder.
