Changing Editors The DECwindows Text Editor is the default editor used to create messages. If multiple editors are available on your system, you can choose a different editor to create a message. You can change your default editor by modifying your Send options. To change editors for a specific message: 1. Choose the desired editor from the Create-Send window's Change Editor menu. A new window will open containing any text you may have already entered in the message. 2. Click on the new window and enter the text of the message, using editing commands appropriate for your chosen editor. 3. Exit from the editor. You cannot edit the message after exiting from the editor. You cannot extract the message to a file, or create a draft of the message. You can edit the message envelope (address information) by clicking on a text entry box in the Create-Send window. 4. To send the message, click on the Send button in the Create-Send window. 5. To send another message, click on the Reset button. The DECwindows Text Editor is once again the default, and all Create-Send options become available.
