Resource Files

  For advanced customization,

  1.  Edit the Mwm resource file.

      *   DECW$USER_DEFAULTS:DECW$MWM.DAT for

          OpenVMS or

      *   ~/Mwm for other systems.

  2.  Add or set the appropriate resources.

  3.  Restart Mwm.

  For black and white and gray-scale systems, add any color-
  related resources to

  *   DECW$MWM_BW.DAT and DECW$MWM_
      GRAY.DAT for OpenVMS or

  *   Mwm_bw and Mwm_gray for other systems.

  You should not place any Mwm resources in the Xdefaults
  file for your system.  These resources will not be applied when
  you restart Mwm.

  Many of the resources are documented in the system mwm
  resource file and have comments to help you review them.
  Do not modify this file directly unless you want to change the
  default resources for everyone.

  *   decw$system_defaults for OpenVMS and

  *   /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults for other systems.

  quick reference of many of the Mwm resources and refer to
  the OSF/Motif Programmer's Guide for a full explanation.

  Note that the location of the resource files can vary depending
  on language options and other logicals or environment
  variables.
