 The R key may be  used  to  insert  VAX  DATATRIEVE's  READ  privilege
 (DTR_READ) into the current privilege mask.

 the current ACL entry.

 DTR_READ privilege is required to ready a VAX  DATATRIEVE  domain  for
 read access.

2.12  –  S_PRIVILEGE

 The S key may be  used  to  insert  SEE  privilege  into  the  current
 privilege mask.

 SEE privilege will be cleared from the other privilege  masks  in  the
 current ACL entry.

 SEE privilege is required to access the  attributes  of  a  dictionary
 object.   In  general,  you should grant SEE access to any objects you
 grant PASS_THRU access to.

2.13  –  U_PRIVILEGE

 The U key may be used to insert  UPDATE  privilege  into  the  current
 privilege mask.

 UPDATE privilege will be cleared from the other privilege masks in the
 current ACL entry.

 UPDATE privilege is required to create or modify the attributes  of  a
 dictionary object.

 To display help on another key, press that key.
 To return to editing, press the space bar.

2.14  –  W_PRIVILEGE

 The W key may be used  to  insert  VAX  DATATRIEVE's  WRITE  privilege
 (DTR_WRITE) into the current privilege mask.

 DTR_WRITE privilege will be cleared from the other privilege masks  in
 the current ACL entry.

 DTR_WRITE privilege is required to ready a VAX DATATRIEVE  domain  for
 write access.

2.15  –  X_PRIVILEGE

 The X key may be used to insert  EXTEND  privilege  into  the  current
 privilege mask.

 EXTEND privilege will be cleared from the other privilege masks in the
 current ACL entry.

 EXTEND privilege is required to create a new dictionary directory.

2.16  –  BS

 The backspace key is used to move the cursor to the prior field.

2.17  –  DELETE

 The DELETE key is used to rubout the character  to  the  left  of  the
 cursor.

2.18  –  DOWN

 The DOWN ENTRY key (DOWN ARROW) is used to move to the  current  field
 of the following ACL entry.

2.20  –  LEFT

 The LEFT COL key (LEFT ARROW) is  used  to  move  the  cursor  to  the

 The linefeed  key  is  used  to  delete  the  contents  of  the  field
 preceeding the current field.

 The SELECT key (PERIOD) is used to mark the entry that is to  start  a
 select range.

 The CUT key can be used to delete  all  the  entries  in  the  current
 select range.

 The HELP key (PF2) is used to display HELP text.

 entry.

2.30  –  1

 The FIELD key (1) is used to move to the next field.

 The direction of movement is as set by the  most  recent  use  of  the

 The PW (2) key is used to move to the PASSWORD field (the last  field)
 of an ACL entry.

2.32  –  3

 The CUT key (3) is used to cut the selected ACL  entries  out  of  the
 ACL.

 directions.

 This key sets the default direction to be towards the end of the ACL.

 The BACKUP key (5) is used to set  the  default  movement  and  search
 directions.

 This key sets the default direction to be towards the beginning of the
 ACL.

2.35  –  6

 The DEL CHAR key (6) is used to delete the current character.

2.36  –  7

 The MOVE key (7) is used to move to the beginning or end of the ACL.

 The direction of movement is as set by the last use of the ADVANCE  or
 BACKUP keys.

2.37  –  8

 The FINDNXT key (GOLD 8) is used to initiate string searches.

 FINDNXT searches for the next occurrence of the  last  search  string.
 If no searches have been done, FINDNEXT moves to the next field.

2.38  –  9

 The DEL FIELD key (9) is used to delete the contents  of  the  current
 field of the current ACL entry.

2.39  –  GOLD_DOWN

 The FORWARD SECTION key (GOLD DOWN) is used to move the cursor forward
 five ACL entries.

 This key (GOLD ENTER) is not currently used.

2.41  –  GOLD_LEFT

 This SHOW USER key (GOLD LEFT ARROW) is used to  display  the  current
 sample  user's  access  rights.   The  current entry becomes the first
 entry in the ACL that matches the sample user's characteristics.

2.42  –  GOLD_PERIOD

 The RESET key (GOLD PERIOD) is  used  to  cancel  the  current  select
 range.

2.43  –  GOLD_PF1

 The GOLD key (PF1) lets you use the  lower  function  of  the  editing
 keys.  Press the GOLD key and then the key you wish to use.

 You can also use the GOLD key to enter repeat counts.  Press GOLD  and
 then  the  main  keyboard  numeric  keys,  followed  by  the key to be
 repeated.  The DELETE key and CTRL/U may be used to  edit  the  repeat
 count, and thus cannot be repeated in this manner.

2.44  –  GOLD_PF2

 most  recently  deleted ACL entry is inserted before the current entry

2.46  –  GOLD_RIGHT

 The DEFINE  USER  (GOLD  RIGHT  ARROW)  key  is  used  to  change  the
 characteristics of the current sample user.

2.47  –  GOLD_UP

 The BACK SECTION key (GOLD UP) is used to move  the  cursor  backwards
 five ACL entries.

2.48  –  GOLD_0

 The OPEN ENTRY key (GOLD 0) is used  to  create  an  empty  ACL  entry
 before the current ACL entry.

2.49  –  GOLD_1

 This key (GOLD 1) is not currently used.

2.50  –  GOLD_2

 The DEL PW key (GOLD 2) is used to delete  the  contents  of  all  the
 fields of the current ACL entry from the current field to the PASSWORD
 field (the last field in the entry).

2.51  –  GOLD_3

 The PASTE key (GOLD 3) is used to copy the ACL entries  in  the  paste
 buffer  to  the  ACL.  The new entries are inserted before the current
 entry.

2.52  –  GOLD_4

 The BOTTOM key (GOLD 4) moves the cursor to the end of the ACL.

2.53  –  GOLD_5

 The TOP key (GOLD 5) moves the cursor to the start of  the  first  ACL
 entry.

2.54  –  GOLD_6

 The UND CHAR key (GOLD 6) is used  to  re-insert  the  last  character
 deleted from this field in any ACL entry.

2.55  –  GOLD_7

 The SHOW KEY (GOLD 7) is used to display the current definition  of  a
 key.

2.56  –  GOLD_8

 The FIND key (8) is used to initiate string searches.

 FIND prompts for a string.  The cursor is set to the first field  that
 contains that string.

 The search string prompt is terminated by striking any keypad key.  If
 the  ADVANCE  key  is struck, the search direction is forward.  If the
 BACKUP key is struck, the search direction is backwards.  The  default
 movement  direction  will  also  be  set  by either of these keys.  If
 neither of these keys is used to  terminate  the  search  string,  the
 default   search  direction  is  the  same  as  the  default  movement
 direction.

2.57  –  GOLD_9

 The UND FIELD key (GOLD 9) is used to  replace  the  contents  of  the
 current  field  of  the current ACL entry with the value most recently
 deleted from this field of any ACL entry.
