  acc  Is a scalar default character variable that is
       assigned one of the following values:

  'SEQUENTIAL'      If the file is open for sequential access
  'DIRECT'          If the file is open for direct access
  'KEYED'           If the file is open for keyed access
  'UNDEFINED'       If the file is not open
