Character Moves the cursor one character at a time in the current direction of the buffer -- either forward or reverse, as shown in the status line. The Character key is similar to the Goto Character/horizontally/forward key or the Goto Character/horizontally/reverse key except the cursor moves in the direction in which your buffer is set. Steps: 1. If necessary, set the direction you want the cursor to move. 2. Press the Character key. In forward direction, the cursor moves right one character. If there is no next character, the cursor moves to the start of the next line. In reverse direction, the cursor moves left one character.
